Farm Fresh Feast

Papa made a feast for brunch when our friends Ben and Kim came with their girls. Eggs, pancakes, bacon, farm-fresh avocados (9 for 99 cents) and berries. De-licious.
We hadn't seen these guys since we were all living in LA. Pre-kids. It was SO great to finally catch up again. These are some lovely humans.

Goat Farm with Friends

Our friends Ben and Kim came for a visit with their adorable twin girls. We had brunch on our horse farm and then went to the local goat farm for a change of farm. And to taste some goat cheese.

Andrés poses with Rilka (left) and Sadie (right).
A brotherly hand-kiss for Pau.

Peas Please

Pescadero State Beach

Pescadero Horse Farm

This is the farm where we are staying for a week of vacation.
The horse is wearing a jacket to protect from flies and sunburn, says Kelly the farmer/horse trainer.

Morning Concert

The house we are renting has a drum kit. How cool is that?

After the long drive from LA to Santa Cruz, we made a stop for dinner and drinks.

Dearing Trail

We decided to climb a small mountain and headed for the Dearing Trail - walking distance from Grandma Judy and Grandpa Don's house.
I was impressed with the boys' endurance - they made it all the way to the top.
We took a break at the top for lunch on Mr. Tree.
And Andrés made it all the way home on his own. Pau rode in the backpack for the last small stretch. It was a lovely day.

Science Center Aquarium

Science Center

We went to the LA Science Center to see the Space Shuttle Endeavor - very exciting. This supersonic plane was perched outside the museum. Beautiful and scary if you ask me.

I knew my guys were strong but was still impressed when they lifted the truck that towed the Endeavor.
