We found the perfect camping spot, parked the car, and Pau made for the untouched dunes.

The Road to the Dunes

No more asphalt. Time to deflate the tires to drive on the sand.

These goggles are a too small, but they are to protect little eyes from the sand - it's windy!

The real fun has begun! Notice how the sky looks so pale - that's sand blowing in the wind.

Bridge to Nowhere

Near our house is a lovely bridge which leads to an empty island - a pile of sand. 
It is closed to traffic but open to pedestrians. 

We affectionately call this the Bridge to Nowhere.
The other day we took a walk/scoot over the bridge at sunset.

About halfway Andrés asked, "Are we Nowhere yet?"

Happy Birthday Papa

We were lucky enough to be invited to Papa's office surprise birthday party.

There were 3 kinds of cake!

We did our best to charm his colleagues.

Then we went to a burger shack for dinner - Papa's choice.

Pau and Andrés practiced taking pictures with the iPhone.
