O MAN

Last weekend we took a camping trip into Oman. The landscape changed dramatically the moment we entered Oman from the UAE. Suddenly there were mountains and rocks, not only sand and dunes!

We drove off road into Wadi Shuwayhah to camp in the beautiful canyon. 

Here is our camp site, nestled into a grove of date palms. It was perfect.

The best thing about our camping spot. . . . the water! Real, flowing water. Wow.

Depending on your size, it was deep enough to swim.

 

Fun Friends

On Thursday evening we had some fun friends over for dinner and games. Stephanie and Jelena were really good at playing with kids. . . .  

and with grown-ups. Stephanie taught us Yahtzee. Andrés was on Mama's team and Pau was on Papa's team. But Papa prefers Boggle (which he wins nearly every time). 

After the kids went to sleep Steve arrived and the competition got serious.

Andrés' First Yoga Class

He was so happy to go to the same yoga studio that I go to, to use the same mat, park in the same spot. Now we just need to work on the following instructions part. . . .
